All our PROTEIN FEEDS PET FOODS are professionally formulated to be a complete food for your pet. The energy: protein ratio in a dog or cat’s diet is the single most important entity of a complete formulated pet food diet.
The higher the energy/fat, the less the dog or cat will eat per day thus the more concentrated the rest of the diet needs to be. With high fat diets you need higher protein/amino acids/vitamins and minerals in the diet to support the body’s daily requirements.
The benefit of a well-balanced concentrated diet, is that the digestibility of the fat and good quality protein sources is very high. Thus, the dog or cat eats less food and there are less faeces. In premium pet food, digestibility is more than 85%.
Daily nutritional requirements for pets are quite specific depending on its size, age, stage of gestation and level of activity. At Protein Feeds Pet Nutrition, we use only the best raw materials in our diets to ensure maximum nutrient digestibility and palatability. (See ingredients).
The vitamins and minerals we add are: Vitamin A, Vitamin D3, Vitamin E, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6, niacin, pantothenate, folic acid, Vitamin B12 and choline. Micro minerals include copper, iodine, manganese, zinc, selenium. Calcium and phosphorus are added to support skeletal development and essential cell functions. Antioxidants are added to keep the vitamins stable when processing.
No artificial colouring is used and only natural flavourings are added. We pride ourselves in the appearance of our brand. High quality packing materials are used that support the health and safety of pets and being environmentally conscious.

We add a fat coating to the dog and cat food. Dogs and cats have the ability to easily digest high levels of fat in their diets with no adverse effects. Fat is a good source of energy as well as the essential alfa-linolenic acid, linoleic acid and arachidonic acid, that helps to promote a healthy skin and keep the hair shining. The balance between long chain fatty acids – omega 3: omega 6 is important to support immunity. All our pet foods are vitamin and mineral enriched. The correct amount of essential vitamin and micro-minerals are added to each batch of pet food.
